Support the Herd

A simple overview of future support ideas for people affected by brain injury.

The Initiative

When the Herd Looks Out for Its Own

The Bison Foundation is still early in its work and is not currently providing direct services. Its future support ideas are simple and centered on helping people affected by brain injury.

At this stage, the focus is on understanding needs and shaping future service possibilities rather than offering programs today.

Featured: Vicki's Story

Living with Two TBIs

Vicki has lived with the effects of two traumatic brain injuries for nearly 17 years. Her condition comes with pharmaceutical allergies and diabetes, requiring an expensive diet — organic, gluten-free, and minimally processed — that places significant financial strain on her daily life.

Like so many brain injury survivors, Vicki relies on friends and prayer as she navigates challenges that are real but often invisible to the outside world. She represents exactly the kind of person "Support the Herd" was designed for — someone whose injury is unseen but whose daily life is shaped entirely by it.

Your support can help provide the food, financial relief, and community that Vicki and others like her need to maintain their dignity and health.
